CULTURAL COUNCIL

Derabis College Derabis, Kendrapara provides the quality education and caters to improve cultural activities among the students by the arrangement of cultural competitions every year. It helps to create enthusiasms in the minds of the students for creativity. Our college celebrates every year Republic Day and Independence Day as a reminder of the numerous sacrifices made by our warriors to advance the liberation movement and secure our independence from British domination, besides it the student of our college observe every year Ganesh Puja and Saraswati Puja believing that the God who come to the earthly realm to their celestial abode. DSA of the college helps students how to observe these festivals.

Besides the observation above special occasion DSA of our college organises different cultural competitions every year. Cultural competitions like song, quiz, dance, debate, essay writing, Jhoti, rangoli and paintings etc organised every year in our college.

• To provide the chance to develop skills beyond reading and writing.
• To help students acquire new skills such as leadership, teamwork, collaboration and problem solving which prepare them for future.

 

OBJECTIVES:

1. The aim of the College is to encourage nationality amongst students by organizing and escorting various events.

2. To establish a really successful cultural festival which helps our college in terms of recognition amongst other colleges. 

3. To encourage and promote the talent of the students in our college

4. To promote and arrange extracurricular activities to bring out the talents of students in the performing arts.
