EXAMINATION CELL

ABOUT EXAMINATION CELL

The Examination Cell of (Exam Cell) in Derabis College, Derabis is headed by the Principal and carry out by member of examination cell. The committee consists of the senior faculty as a coordinator who is aided by one senior. The important duty of the Examination Cell is to conduct all the examinations (both internal and external examinations) in a smooth and fair manner. The college Examination cell will have suitable framework for conducting question papers and other relevant confidential materials.

 

FUNCTIONS OF EXAMINATION CELL

  • The College Academic Calendar recommended the indefinite examination schedule for internal and external examination.
  • The Different Departments faculty member prepares their question paper on the basis of the syllabus.
  • The examination cell manages for adequate number of question paper copies before the examination.
  • A time table for invigilation duty is prepared by the Exam Cell. The allocate staffs should perform the invigilation duty as per the given time table.
  • After exams, papers are collected by the invigilators and handed over to the Exam Cell with signature sheet of the students. The Cell given the answer sheets to the respective department with giving submission dates for mark foil.
  • The Examination Cell Arranges the hall and seating arrangements.

 

 

UNIVERSITY LEVEL EXAMINATION

  • The College comes under the Utkal University and conducted all semester as per the University schedule.
  • The theory examinations will normally be of three hours duration.
  • University will issue the particular schedule for end semesters.
  • As per the University schedule invigilation duty is prepared by the Exam Cell.
  • The respective faculty member should carry out the invigilation duty as per the schedule.
  • Room/ hall wise seating plan for candidates are prepared and displayed at a important place in the notice board of the College.
  • The examination hall is opened only 20 minutes before the commencement of the examination. The students are instructed to occupy their seats at least 15 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
  • The invigilator for each room collects the question booklets and answer books 15 minutes before the commencement of examination and that they proceed to the examination room.
  • Mobile phones, programmable calculators and other electronic gadgets should not be allowed in the examination room even if they are switched off.
  • If any student brings in such materials to the examination room, they have to be taken into custody by the invigilator and submitted to the chief superintendent at the earliest.

 

  • Allow only admit card, pen, pencil, eraser and ordinary calculator in the examination room.
  • A candidate shall not be allowed to the examination hall, if he/ she does not have an original Admit Card. However, if a student reports that his/her Admit card is lost, the Chief Superintendent/HOD, after receiving a written request from him/her along with required fees, shall forward it to the College for issuing a duplicate Admit card.
  • The distribution of the question paper at the three strokes of the bell and ask the candidates to start   writing.
